BLUEWATER ANGLERS
FALL BIG FISH DERBY

ELGIBILITY:
Any person is eligible to enter provided they have a valid fishing license in accordance to the waters they are fishing and have paid for their entry by 4:30PM Friday, Sept 28, 2012.
This is a BOAT and SHORE event. Fishing starts at 12:01 am Saturday.

ENTRY FEE:
An entry fee of $10.00 cash per person, must accompany the entry form. All entries must be in by 4:30 Friday Sept 28, 2012.

BOAT PARTICIPANTS:
If fishing from a boat-ALL people aboard must have an entry.

BOUNDARIES:
Bluewater Salmon Derby boundaries apply, in the St. Clair River, south to the south end of Fawn Island, East to the harbour at Grand Bend and North to the trailer park north of Lexington, Michigan. Boundaries for all streams and rivers entering into the St, Clair River and Lake Huron are upstream to the First bridge or roadway, whichever comes first.

AWARDS:
Cash prizes will be awarded for the top 5 heaviest fish. Only Salmon, Rainbow and Brown Trout are eligible.

WEIGH-IN:
Derby contestants are allowed to enter only their SINGLE heaviest fish

Participants must bring their catch to the weigh-in station, located at the FISH HATCHERY, between the hours of 2:00pm and 3:00pm, September 29th, 2012. You MUST be in line by 3:00 for your entries to be eligible!!! Presentations of prizes will be immediately following the weigh-in.
The following will be the breakdown of Cash prizes. All breakdowns are of total entry fees:
1st… 35%
2nd…..20%
3rd…..15%
4th…..10%
5th…...5%
**15% for the Fish Hatchery

All prize winners may be asked to prove they are legally allowed to fish to claim prize.

Entry forms and information will be available at The Outdoorsman, Buck’s Baits, Eric’s Pro Tackle and our September General Anglers Meeting.

This association will not be liable to or for loss of property or for injury to the person of any contestant or spectator. Contestants compete in this derby at their own risk and agree to hold this Association and members harmless from any liability, claims and cost of any nature whatsoever.

All monies raised support the Bluewater Anglers.
A minimum of 5 draw prizes will be drawn at the conclusion of the event, you must be present to win.

Fishing was a little slow. Only 3 fish entered.

1st place was David Last with a 3.2kg coho
2nd was Richard Smith with a 2.58kg chinook
3rd was Gerry Lanteigne with a 2.18 kg rainbow

All fish came from the river.
